About Me
Hello,
I’m Hannah
I am a self-employed travel writer. As a location independent freelancer, I split my time between the United Kingdom, Chile, and wherever else the wind blows me.
Prior to setting up my freelance business, I worked in-house for international book publishers for 8+ years. I climbed my way up to Publicity Manager at one of the “Big Five”, dipping my toes into marketing and sales positions along the way.
My first venture in self-employment was managing PR campaigns for independent authors and small businesses. These days, I work full-time as an independent writer and as a staff writer at Matador Network.
Over the past six years, my roving lifestyle has taken me across Asia, New Zealand, the Caucasus, and Latin America. My current home is a coastal town in Chile where I am studying Spanish, getting to grips with Chilean cuisine, and forever looking for my favourite Carménère.
I picked up a BA in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology from the University of Warwick and continue to be curious about ancient civilisations, architecture, and mythology.
When I’m not at my desk, I’ll probably have my nose stuck in a novel. I also enjoy hiking, cycling, playing basketball, practising yoga, and all types of water sports.
